Substitute Teacher, Monterey County Home Charter School at Monterey County Office Of Education

Under supervision of the On-Site Administrator of the Monterey County Home Charter School, the Home Independent Study Teacher will serve as an educational facilitator/monitor to parents who have chosen to educate their children at home and who have enrolled them in the Monterey County Home Charter School.

30 DAY SUB PERMIT MUST BE OBTAINED NOTE- If 30 Day sub permit is "in progress", your application will not be considered Experience in high school math instruction Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: Appropriate California Teaching Credential Possess an appropriate California operator’s license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicle and be insurable

Day 1-5: $250.00/day; Day 6 - 20: $275/day; Day 21+: 300.00/day; Itinerant rate $260.00/day

Desirable Qualifications: Experience working with “home schooled” students Have the ability to analyze curriculum for content, depth, and correlation to State curriculum guidelines Willingness to develop and share materials with parents and other teachers Enthusiasm and a true empathy for individual student needs Ability to communicate effectively in the Spanish language both orally and in writing Special Education background All foreign transcripts must be evaluated by a third party to determine the equivalent U.S. degree and major, and the Foreign Transcript Evaluation must be attached to your application before your application will be considered.
