The Opportunity:
Make your mark while you grow your career! We are looking for a Mine Maintenance Engineer-in-Training to support the maintenance execution and planning groups responsible for long range planning, scheduling and parts acquisition for the Shovel Maintenance Department. You will be a key team member in developing, managing and controlling all aspects of long-range planning.

- Shift schedule: 8 x 6, 10-hour shifts

Key Accountabilities:
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment through the compliance with Canadian Natural Health and Safety Programs and the OH&S act
- Work with planning, reliability, execution and vendor teams to develop and maintain 3 - 36-month fleet forecast
- Track costs and maintain department weekly/monthly/yearly spend reports
- Work with the planning and reliability team on tracking fleet performance
- Provide data analytics looking for improvements in fleet availability and cost savings
- Work with Canadian Natural’s Maximo software to create and track equipment work orders and job plans
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and registration with APEGA is preferred
- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
- Continuous improvement mindset with a drive to optimize equipment reliability and maintenance strategies
- Experience in data analytics and machine learning is an asset
