Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Salary up to £53,485 depending on role, including shift allowance (where applicable) plus benefits and overtime.

We now have an opportunity for an experienced, Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical bias, to join our busy Maintenance Team at our production site in Falkirk. We have opportunities available on both permanent days and on shift.
What's the mission?
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site.
What are the mission-critical skills?
- Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position with Mechanical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3 or equivalent)
- Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
- Practical hands-on approach.
- Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
- Ability to interrogate and understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
- Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
