Position Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AP Inventory Specialist to join our accounting team and play a key role in supporting the company’s accounts payable operations specifically pertaining to inventories/inventory locations.


Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices for inventory purchases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and vendor invoices to verify pricing and quantities.
  • Monitor daily fuel inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies between system records and supplier statements.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to resolve pricing, billing, or inventory-related issues.
  • Prepare reconciliations of fuel inventory accounts, ensuring accurate reporting in the general ledger.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and journal entries related to inventory.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to support timely payments and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance reporting accuracy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, or related finance role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory processes, three-way matching, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
