What You'll Do:
- Perform radiographic procedures on patients, including positioning, image acquisition, and quality control.
- Utilize x-ray equipment to create diagnostic images of bones, joints, and soft tissues.
- Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization for optimal image quality.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to radiation safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain and troubleshoot x-ray equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data.
- Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during procedures.
- May assist with other clinical tasks as needed, such as patient intake or basic first aid.
What Your Qualifications Should Be:
- Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- State licensure as a radiologic technologist, Florida.
- Prior experience in an orthopedic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Experience with digital imaging.
