The Operator/Mechanic is responsible for running up to six machines based on production demands.
All operators are responsible for keeping accurate production records. The records are keyed into the computer system. The operator is responsible for meeting established production standards.
How You Will Help
- Operate up to six machines based on production demands.
- Load blanks into the machine by reaching hand into tub to pick up cut blank and placing it into loading magazine.
- Use a ring gage to check the quality of the finished part and performs visual inspection.
- Perform “changeovers” on machines to accommodate length and material changes.
- Grind chasers and understand the different rake & lead angles for various material types plus understanding thread length adjustments
- Enter accurate production records into the As400 or by recording the numbers on production cards.
- Remove cuttings from machine using a pitch fork and/or shovel to dump the cuttings into a harpoon system, which is located beneath the machine.
- Maintain cleanliness of the machines and surrounding work area.

- Repetitive use of both hands (up to 10 hours per day)
- Requires repetitive twisting
- Repetitive reaching at and above shoulder level and bending at the waist
- Working with cutting oil
- An awareness of exposed cuttings and moving parts on the machine
- Lifting up to 30 lbs.

- Starting pay rate $21.50
- Scheduled Shift: Sunday - Friday, 10:30pm to 6:30am
