Job Description:
As an Eagle Creek, an Atos business, Property and Casualty Business Analyst, you will work in a team environment for the successful development and implementation of business applications for our customers. You will work from project initiation to full customer product roll out. In this capacity, you will be experienced with Property and Casualty applications, both functionally and technically, and must be able to successfully contribute to the customization, configuration and testing various Property and Casualty applications.
Position Description / Duties:
- Gather and refine requirements for the creation of functional and technical design.
- Construct and Write Epics and User Stories
- Conduct and lead requirements and solution design workshops.
- Drive discovery conversations with our clients’ IT staff and business stakeholders.
- Author design and configuration specifications based on client business and technical requirements.
- Define process, create, and maintain workflow and related documentation.
- Evaluate client processes and technologies for the purpose of innovation and improvement.
- Develop and maintain requirements documentation including Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Provide configuration expertise for validation and testing.
- Mentor and train, formally and informally, lesser experienced resources.
- Develop project-specific training material.
- Create and execute Functional Test Scripts
- Conduct training sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative insurance solutions.
- Drive backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions for the Scrum Team
- Development and management of milestones, deliverables, and project timelines
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of project plans to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Work with the QA team to ensure test cases are current, correct, and cover alternative paths for existing and new system functionality.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct experience as a Property and Casualty Business Analyst
- 10+ years of Business Analyst experience.
- 10+ years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance.
- Previous experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow, Guidewire I-Suite, or Duck Creek preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Agile.
- Skilled at writing detailed Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), use cases, and wireframes.
- Strong background using defect-ticketing software (such as Rally, JIRA, etc.) to document software requirements, user stories, defects for development teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on tasks with competing priority.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Strong analytical skills and a self-starter attitude required.
- Familiarity with Java, HTML, XML, SOAP APIs, UX Design.
