SUMMARY
Cleans resident apartments, public bathrooms, offices, halls, trash rooms, stairways, elevators and
other areas by performing the following duties.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
• Disinfects equipment and supplies and keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly
condition.
• Maintains cleaning equipment in proper working condition and reports on equipment and/or
furniture in need of repair.
• Cleans unoccupied apartments thoroughly; performs duties such as mopping floors, vacuuming;
cleans and washes washroom fixtures; cleans mirrors and inside windows.
• Cleans occupied residents rooms including vacuuming and mopping and maintaining resident
kitchens, bathrooms and balcony in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
• Cleans other areas such as offices, workrooms, lobbies, classrooms, laundry room and restrooms if
assigned.
• Dusts resident furniture, woodwork, door panels, and sills.
• Cleans rugs and carpets. Dust mops and wet mops floors; vacuums carpets and rugs.
• Empties wastebaskets. Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Ability to manage time effectively and reprioritize assigned tasks as needed within one hour.
• Attends in-service programs and meetings as required.
