Role Description

The Role

The Associate Director, Field Reimbursement Management will lead and coach a team of 12-14 field reimbursement managers in a defined geography responsible for ensuring optimal access, effective pull-through, reimbursement services and program support in collaboration with the Tralokinumab Hub services organization.

 

This role requires strategic, tactical, operational, organizational, problem solving communications, and project management skills. A strong results-orientation and a sense of urgency to get things done are critical. The AD, Field Reimbursement Management will be an architect of creative solutions that embraces innovative approaches, is comfortable in an entrepreneurial and growing commercial organization, and is committed to ethical behavior and compliance in every aspect of their duties.The ideal candidate will have experience in dermatology, in-depth field reimbursement team and competitive launch experience, and a strong understanding of and respect for patients, providers, advocates and dedicated health care providers.

 

This is a remote position, requiring up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate should be located in close proximity to an airport. 

 

Your Responsibilities 

  • Lead, coach develop and retain a high-performing team across designated territories with a focus on providing a best in class customer facing Field Reimbursement Specialist team. 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement with sharing of best practices
  • Conduct regular quality audits, performance reviews and identify industry trends to support educational training
  • Ensure team is operating within the guardrails of all legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Design and execute field reimbursement strategy in collaboration with management and internal and external partners to support product access and pull-through
  • Monitor payer trends, access barriers, and changes in reimbursement policies that may impact approval of Adbry and alert Payer Account Executive
  • Partner closely with Patient Services, Market Access, Trade, Sales Leadership and Legal/Compliance
  • Analyze data from FRM portal, Hub Reports, and payer coverage tools to identify trends and opportunities
  • Leverage insights to inform strategy and proactively recommend solutions to evolving access challenges
  • Monitor and track FRM’s KPIs, ensuring timely and appropriate CRM documentation to deliver optimal service level support to matrix partners and external customers
  • Ensure team compliance with all of Leo’s policies and procedures and relevant rules & regulations that govern reimbursement sup-port services.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and  1:1 with FRMs to develop, coach and mentor team
  • Lead onboarding and ongoing trainings for FRM team as it relates to access challenges
  • Collaborate with field sales leadership and field sales team to execute on aligned strategy within guardrails
  • Partner with Payer Account teams to provide access challenge trends and insights

 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 7+ years experience in pharma with previous experience leading a team required. 
  • Experience as a field reimbursement manager (2-3) years required  
  • A minimum of 8 years related payer or office reimbursement field management experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience managing a payer or trade account team is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of patient support offerings, field reimbursement, distribution, buy and bill payer landscape, and new product launches
  • Experience as a field reimbursement leader having led an FRM team required. Experience supporting self-injectable biologics or/and biologics required. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (located near a major airport)
  • Knowledge and experience working with specialty pharmacy
  • Understanding of the payer/reimbursement landscape as it relates to biologic treatments (experience in Dermatology preferred) 
  • Strong knowledge of the payer environment, including government and commercial payers, as well as the technical payer policies and processes for prior authorization approvals for biologic treatments
  • In depth understanding of drug distribution (patient acquisition biologic treatments)
  • Strong organizational, problem solving and project manage-ment skills
  • Demonstrated successful team coaching, management and people development experience.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional/matrix/team environment in a 
    reimbursement environment 
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to interact with customers, prescribers, medical office staff, and decision makers at institutions 
  • Proficient with CRM and reporting/dashboard tools
  • Solid knowledge of patient services /Hub programs and expe-rience working collaboratively with Hub roles
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Compliance with HIPAA regulations, OIG guidance, Advertising and promotion requirements, the Anti-Kickback statute, and applicable policies, best practices, and guidelines
  • Valid driver’s license 

 

The base salary range for this position is $162,000 - $252,000 per year. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
