Extended Day Assistant - Early Childhood (ages 2-5)

Job Summary: Pembroke Hill School is searching for an energetic and creative individual to serve as an Extended Day Assistant. This role supports the faculty and children in our Early Childhood program, with duties including but not limited to supervising and maintaining a fun and safe environment for students, assisting in planning activities, and managing daily tasks.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working with young children
- high school diploma or equivalent.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:00-5:00 during the school year (August through May), with an option to work in summer camps.
- We also have two part time openings: Wednesdays from 3-5pm.
Compensation: Begins at $15 per hour and increases depending on experience.

- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods. For elementary and lower school, sit on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to enter data into a computer, to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids

- Ability to speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors, and on the telephone
- Physical ability to lift, carry and/or hold up to 25 pounds to shoulder height and 50 pounds to waist height
- Ability to occasionally balance, reach, bend, squat, stoop, or kneel
- Ability to climb stairs, walk, and occasionally run, if required
