Mohawk College is a looking to hire a Course Developer in Project Management and Scheduling to help shape our upcoming 512 – Building Information Modeling (BIM) Graduate Certificate program, set to launch in Winter 2026 at Mohawk College.
This course will dive into how BIM integrates with project scheduling tools like Navisworks, Primavera, and MS Project, while also covering 4D simulation, clash detection, coordination, and site execution planning. While knowledge of REVIT is helpful, our goal is to go beyond software and give students a broader understanding of BIM’s role in project management.
This role includes course creation and content development, with a focus on ensuring online development and online instruction in an asynchronous learning environment are incorporated into design.
What you’ll be doing:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and structure the course ensuring alignment with approved course outline, industry needs and best practices.
- Create engaging, interactive asynchronous course materials, including PowerPoints, lecture notes, video lectures, case studies, assessments, and real-world applications.
- Work with Mohawk College stakeholders to align course content with industry standards and employer needs.
- Use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Ensure content meets LMS (MyCanvas) standards and integrates with existing micro credentials.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- A Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Building Construction Science, or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience.
- Experience with REVIT is preferred.
- Experience with asset/facilities management or ERP integration.
- Experience with project scheduling tools like Navisworks, Primavera, and MS Project.
- Previous teaching or training experience in higher education or professional settings.
- Experience developing and delivering online course content.
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to staying current with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively inter-culturally with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
