Our System Test team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, test case development and test automation suite development, to assess and improve the overall quality of our products. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the wide knowledge of the product portfolio, continuous improvement using keen eye for system performance, scalability aspects and ensuring that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also, automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to ensure performance and scalability baselines.

About the Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Manager to lead a team of engineers. In this role, you will not only oversee managing a dedicated QA team but also own and drive end to end qualifications of multiple releases. As the QA manager, you would be responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance at Nutanix, from setting up test strategies and processes to managing qualification of all product releases to building a world class QA team Engineering / R&D at Nutanix. You must have experience testing a 'systems' product (file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking). The ability to think 'outside the box' is crucial in designing test cases to adequately and quickly assess the integrity of the product.
Your Roles:
- Lead the end-to-end process for patch planning, triage, testing, and release
- Work closely with developers and QE to identify and resolve patch blockers
- Define and manage patch acceptance criteria, risk assessments, and rollout plans
- Maintain dashboards and reporting on patch readiness, turnaround, and issue trends
- Build and grow a team focused on consistent patch delivery with high quality
- Collaborate with support and customer success teams to identify urgent fixes
- Manage planning and execution of functional integration test cycles across multiple products
- Collaborate with component QA teams to ensure interoperability coverage
- Lead efforts to reproduce and root-cause customer scenarios and bugs
- Improve test automation and environment stability for integration use cases
- Drive weekly reviews, triage sessions, and cross-functional syncs for quality alignment
What You Will Bring
- A BE or MS in Computer Science or related stream is required.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience, of which 2+ years is QA Management.
- Proven experience in a QA leader role preferably in Storage / Backup ,
Virtualization areas.
- Experience in leading technical QA teams for features in distributed systems.
- Experience in designing complex Test Plans and Automation Plans.
- Good exposure to Automation development in Python.
- Experience in AI is a plus
- Ability to debug complex issues and root cause failures.
- Experience with Core Storage, Virtualization, File Systems, Block/Object
Storage, Disaster Recovery & Backup is desired.
- Good understanding of Linux Systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with development, product
management and cross functional teams.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
