The Money and Time Stuff:
This role is part-time, up to 25 hours weekly, and the work is done onsite, in various area classrooms and our administrative office. We anticipate a need of 4-6 months of support. This is a temporary, hourly position with a wage range of $28-30/hr DOE.

The Role:
Support early childhood educators by providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to help teachers strengthen their classroom practice and meet professional goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with a caseload of ~10 teachers in Head Start/Early Head Start classrooms.
- Conduct observations, model best practices using practiced-based coaching, and help set professional growth goals.
- Match staff to the right California childcare permit type based on compliance standards.
- Assist in the development of individual education plans for career advancement.
- Assist with college admissions, registration, and financial aid.
- Track progress and maintain organized education records.
- Provide feedback, encouragement, and practical strategies for improving instruction.
- Document progress and celebrate wins.

What You’ll Gain:

Requirements:
- BA in ECE (or nearing completion)
- OR, BA/BS in a related field, with ECE experience and units (or near completion).
- Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) certification or willingness to complete.
- Knowledge of education systems and permit requirements is necessary.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to help others stay on track.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
