Temporary Enrollment & Education Support Specialist

The Money and Time Stuff:
This role is part-time, up to 25 hours weekly, and the work is done onsite as well as from your home office, or our admin site. We anticipate a need of 4-6 months of support. This is a temporary, hourly position with a wage range of $21-24/hr DOE.

Sonoma Community Action Network (Sonoma CAN) is a nonprofit committed to empowering individuals and families. Our Head Start programs serve hundreds of children — and the staff who work with them by providing resources for education, growth, and stability.
The Role:
Help Head Start staff navigate education pathways, meet permit requirements, and enroll in community college or training programs.
What You’ll Do:
- Match staff to the right California childcare permit type based on compliance standards.
- Assist in the development of individual education plans for career advancement.
- Assist with college admissions, registration, and financial aid.
- Track progress and maintain organized education records.
