ABOUT THE POSITION

OAM + i’move is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Anesthesia team. This role at the outpatient surgery center provides safe, high quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing same-day surgical and diagnostic procedures. Working both independently and collaboratively with physicians and surgical staff, the CRNA is responsible for all aspects of anesthesia services including pre-operative assessment, administration of anesthesia, intraoperative monitoring, and post-anesthesia care. The CRNA ensures patient comfort and safety throughout the perioperative process and contributes to efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs pre-anesthesia assessments including review of medical history, lab results, and consultation services. 
  • Administers general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care (MAC) using appropriate agents, techniques, and equipment.
  • Manages airway and ventilation, including intubation and extubation when appropriate.
  • Provides vigilant post-anesthesia care in the recovery area, ensuring patient safety, pain control, and smooth transition to discharge.
  • Collaborates with surgical, nursing, and administrative staff to maintain a safe and efficient surgical schedule.
  • Participates in pre-operative patient education and addresses questions or concerns regarding anesthesia.
  • Follows all infection control and safety protocols in accordance with center policies and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Skills & Competencies: Advanced knowledge of ambulatory anesthesia techniques and pharmacology with ability to work in high-volume outpatient setting; strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to respond quickly in urgent situations.
  • Education & Experience: Master’s or Doctoral degree from accredited Nurse Anesthesia program; current certification as a CRNA by the NBCRNA; one year CRNA experience, and experience in an outpatient/ ambulatory surgery setting highly preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/ walk for extended periods; ability to lift, push, move equipment/ patients up to 50 pounds; manual dexterity for procedures/ equipment handling; and visual/ auditory acuity to monitor patient status and respond to alarms.
