Job Title: Banquet Supervisor


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Supervisor to oversee and coordinate banquet operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all events run smoothly and efficiently, providing exceptional service to our guests.


Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise banquet staff and ensure high standards of service are maintained

- Coordinate with kitchen and event planning teams to ensure seamless execution of events

- Manage setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in place

- Train and mentor staff on service techniques and company policies

- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during events

- Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas


Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Requirements

*At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required. High School diploma or equivalent required.

*College coursework in a related field helpful.

* Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

*Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

* Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. 

*Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

 * Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. 

*Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. 

* Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.

 * Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
