About the Department
The City of Saint Paul Regional Water Services is hiring an individual to perform electrical work involving the construction, installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical, electronic, and communications systems.
- Maintain, repair, and install instruments, apparatus, and equipment, including high- and low-voltage and fiber optic systems.
- Install, inspect, maintain, and test electrical equipment used in operating a variety of equipment such as pumps, control panels, transformers, onsite and portable generators, automatic power transfer switches, communication switches, motors, flow/level/pressure transmitters, PLCs, valve actuators, quicklime slaker, online water quality analyzers, and air compressor systems.
- Apply electrical expertise in facility construction, maintenance, and repair.
- Verify and calibrate level, flow, pressure, and temperature's transmitters.
- Utilize aerial personal lifts, ladders, fiberoptic splicing tool, thermal imaging gun, multimeter, and manual tools.
- Perform routine transformers' oil sampling.
- Adhere to OSHA requirements and established safety policies and practices.

Position Duties
Must possess a Class A journey-level electrician's license issued by the State of Minnesota.
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
