Summary
Under direct supervision, complete all steps to prepare print files from the approved graphics production order (GPO). Responsible for verifying correct substate, size, orientation, scale, color consistency, image resolution and confirm file content is the same as the approved GPO. When all established steps are completed, the Preflight specialist will transfer the file to the printer queue for printing.
This position will support our Event & Exhibit Services/Graphics team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor CP3 planning queue and print approved GPOs.
- Organize GPOs and cross reference the planning queue and paper GPO prints. Change the status to “At Rip.” in CP3.
- Open Box application and download the approved print files.
- Open files in print factory. Check that the size, color, spelling is correct & that there is nothing out of place.
- Communicate with the Layout team if updates are required.
- Send to print and change the status in CP3 to “At Printer.”
- Hand off GPO’s to printer.
- Understands internal production documentation (e.g. GPO’s, CAD details, Design renderings).
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
- Proficient in Adobe illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop.
- Basic understand of Print Factory or RIP Software, including Onyx, Caldera and Fiery.
- Knowledge of various graphic production equipment, materials, and applications.
- Basic problem-solving abilities, enabling the identification of issues and the development of effective solutions.
