The Residential Supervisor provides leadership, management, and support within the University’s residential life program. This role oversees daily operations of assigned residence halls, supervises student staff, and promotes a safe, inclusive, and engaging living-learning environment. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for fostering community, supporting student success, and ensuring adherence to University housing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Resident Assistants (RAs) and other student staff in assigned residence halls.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive community that promotes student engagement, wellness, and academic success.
  • Develop and implement educational, cultural, and social programming within the residence halls.
  • Serve as a role model and resource for residential students, supporting their personal and academic growth.
  • Enforce University and housing policies consistently and fairly.
  • Respond to and document student conduct issues in collaboration with the Office of Student Conduct or Dean of Students.
  • Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mediation as needed.
  • Connect students with campus resources (counseling, academic support, financial aid, etc.).
  • Oversee occupancy management, room assignments, and facility concerns for assigned halls.
  • Collaborate with Campus Safety, Facilities, and other departments to address maintenance and safety issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of programming, conduct, and staff performance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate residential student staff.
  • Lead staff meetings, workshops, and training initiatives.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential life, housing, or student affairs.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
