About the Role: As a Caster at Central Moloney, you play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating casting equipment to create metal components. Your expertise in casting processes and attention to detail will contribute to the production of high-quality transformer components. Your responsibilities include:
What You’ll Do:
- Operate casting equipment to produce metal components according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust casting machines for optimal performance.
- Monitor and control the casting process to ensure quality and consistency.
- Inspect finished products for defects and deviations from specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with casting equipment.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Perform routine maintenance on casting machines as needed.
- Record and maintain production data and quality records.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience as a Caster or in a similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of casting processes and equipment.
- Ability to interpret casting specifications and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing and lifting.

- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
- Physical Activities: Sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp as needed.
- PPE: Wear the required PPE, including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety toe footwear.
- Dexterity and Vision: Manual dexterity and specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Stamina: Stand for long shifts.
- Skills: Effective communication, basic math skills, and teamwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and address hazards.
