SUMMARY:
The Campus Director of Therapeutic Recreation plans, organizes, directs, supervises and evaluates Therapeutic Recreation services provided at Sholom in order to achieve the department’s mission to meet the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual needs for each tenant and resident.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, Psychology or Social Work or related field required.
- Three or more years’ management/leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Certified by National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible, preferred upon hire.
- One or more years’ experience working with individuals with dementia preferred.
- Three or more years’ hands on recreation experience preferred.
- Current certification in CPR preferred; upon hire if not certified, must obtain no later than 90 days from hire.

Compensation: An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
