Job Overview:
We are seeking a versatile Lab & Assembly Technician to support our engineering team in developing cutting-edge battery technology and electronics. This role combines the responsibilities of a lab and assembly technician, involving hands-on work with electronics, including the building of battery packs and needed sub-components. The role is part-time and available for immediate start. During September, full-time hours will likely be required to support a key battery build. After September, the role is expected to return to part-time hours. There may be potential for full-time conversion in early 2026 based on project needs and performance.

Responsibilities
Assemble and rework electronic components, including soldering, crimping, and creating wire harnesses.
Conduct tests on circuit boards and electronic systems, logging results and generating test reports.
Develop and maintain spec sheets for internal and external use.
Create and manage internal databases using Excel and Word for documentation purposes.
Assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics of electronic systems.
Support the team by maintaining lab equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring smooth lab operations.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework in progress toward a relevant degree.
Advanced proficiency in soldering and rework, including fine-pitch components, surface mount (SMT), and through-hole soldering.
Hands-on experience with rework stations and techniques for PCB repair and modification.
Familiarity with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) and logging results.
Strong skills in Word and Excel for documentation and databasing.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in creating and interpreting spec sheets for electronics.
Knowledge of wire harness design and troubleshooting techniques.
Previous experience in a lab technician or test engineering role.
