Cousino Restoration & Environmental is seeking a Large Loss Project Manager to join our team in Perrysburg, OH.

 

Job Summary:

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced Large Loss Restoration Project Manager to oversee all aspects of commercial and residential restoration projects after major incidents like fires, floods, storms, and other natural disasters. The ideal candidate will manage projects from the initial response through reconstruction, ensuring client satisfaction and successful completion. This position requires extensive travel across various states to manage on-site project operations.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large loss restoration projects, including emergency mitigation and reconstruction.
  • Develop project timelines, coordinate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Estimate project costs, manage budgets, track expenses, and oversee project financials.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring legal requirements and project standards are met.
  • Utilize T&M software for tracking and billing
  • Conduct on-site inspections, verify repairs meet industry standards, and ensure quality control.
  • Manage client interaction, set and manage expectations, and effectively communicate project updates.
  • Handle insurance claims, project documentation, and ensure proper record-keeping.
  • Track equipment and materials used in projects.
  • Maintain jobsite safety and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with strict benchmarks.
  • Mentor and lead team members on projects.
  • Willingness and availability to travel extensively across various states

 

Qualifications:

  • Specify required 5 plus years of experience in commercial project management and the insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in emergency and restoration project management, including drying, dehumidification, and climate stabilization.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate and T&M software is required.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and effectively lead teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial construction trades and building codes.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and insurance adjusters.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions and confined spaces. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with clients in the restoration industry.
  • IICRC certifications in relevant areas (e.g., Mold Remediation, Odor Removal, ASD). 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, field-based position with extensive travel required.
  • Work may occur in a variety of conditions, including active disaster zones and construction sites.
  • Flexible and extended work hours are often required based on emergency response needs and project demands.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel
  • Valid Driving License and pass MVR check
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen

 

Compensation:

  • This role offers a competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential.
