Controller
Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Finance, this individual will be responsible to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
A successful candidate must be able to:
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
Develop, implement and execute the processes within the Inventory and Accounting Teams.
Lead and support a team of direct reports holding a high level of accountability
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
Prepare and file tax returns
Enter accounting related information into business logs
Prepare documentation for external auditors
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
All other duties and projects as assigned
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
Qualifications:
Proven at least 5-8 years of experience in accounting or finance
5 plus years of experience in a leadership position
