Flat Welding Forklift Driver - Night Shift at EVAPCO

Job Description:

Perform material handling duties for the Flat Welding department including:

• Safely drives the forklift at all times
• Completes daily checklists before operating the forklift
• Uses the forklift to move parts to and from flat welding bays
• Evaluates what the welders need and sets them up for success
• Must be able to multi-task on a regular basis
• May perform other duties, as assigned
• Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety and scrap committees.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience

• Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
• Must have valid Evapco forklift license or be able to pass the certification
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
• Familiar with EVAPCO product and components.
• 2 or more years of Material Handling experience preferred
• High School diploma or GED equivalent, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Manufacturing and outdoor environments
• Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
• Lifting of 50 lbs. or less
• Wear PPE when required
• Shift work, Night Shift, Monday through Thursday, and some weekends
