Job Title: Director of Academic Programs and Support Services

Position Summary:
The Director of Academic Programs and Support Services provides visionary and strategic leadership to advance the district’s academic goals. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing key instructional and support initiatives, with a strong focus on improving student outcomes, supporting educators, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Leadership
   
  • Lead district-wide Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in collaboration with principals and academic coaches.
  • Co-write and manage the District Unified Improvement Plan (UIP), ensuring alignment with performance data and accountability measures.
  • Lead and coordinate district accountability meetings to review progress, data trends, and continuous improvement strategies.
     
• Grant Management
   
  • Identify, write, and oversee educational grants to support district initiatives and program expansion.
  • Work closely with finance and program leads to ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements and funding guidelines.
     
• Program Oversight for support services
   
  • Serve as the district liaison for key programs and partners, including, but not limited to:
     
    • Career and Technical Education (CTE)
    • Pre-K
    • BOCES
    • Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) education
      
       
• Assessment & Data Support
   
  • Assist the District Assessment Coordinator in planning, administering, and analyzing district and state assessments.
  • Support data-driven decision-making processes across academic programs.
  •  
• Other Duties
   
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or designee, aligned with the district's academic and operational priorities.
     

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
• Valid administrative license (or eligibility). (Required)
• Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and program management. (Required)
• Strong understanding of state and federal education accountability systems. (Preferred)
• Experience with grant writing and management. (Preferred)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across diverse stakeholder groups.(Required)
• Leadership experience within a K-12 school (Required)
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (i.e. excel, tableau, etc.) (Preferred)

• Salary: $100,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience and education
