What you’ll do:

The Middleware Developer is responsible for the development, test and implementation of best coding practices in Integration solutions for the organization, including application connectivity, Performance, Security and audit. This role will be engaged in all phases of the API lifecycle, and follows all the best practices that were put in place. Successful candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating sound technical and business knowledge.

  • Develop and maintain Integration Solutions following the defined best practices and coding standards.

  • Build reusable components to reduce code rewrite.

  • Plans and executes unit test to ensure the developed code is free of functional defects.

  • Complete development of a small to medium sized task independently.

  • Ensure API governance policies are followed by implementing and validating API/service design etc.

  • Support and maintain existing integration solutions for Middleware systems for operational and analytical applications.

  • Required to work in other areas of Data Enablement lifecycle as needed.

  • Work on the API specification documentation.

  • Contributes to technical specifications and participates in peer reviews.

  • Participate in Data Modeling efforts for all new data projects.

  • Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions.

  • Writes and executes test plans.

  • Serves as resource to internal and third-party team members on all types of issues.

  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers.

  • Seeks opportunities to deliver continuous process improvement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or other quantitative field.

  • 2+ years’ experience in Middleware Development.

  • Experience in implementing robust exception handling mechanisms.

  • Good understanding of DW concepts including 3NF and Dimensional data models, Middleware concepts for modern integration infrastructures such as API management and ESB, and MDM Concepts.

  • Has good understanding of development best practices.

  • Familiarity with the tools needed to debug and diagnose issues in any type of environment.

  • Good analytical skills to troubleshoot any issues.

  • Experience with source control repository system such as TFS or GIT is preferred.

  • Efficiently work in Agile environment. Familiarity with tracking tools such as JIRA is a plus.

  • Experience working on Banking and Financial domain is preferred.

  • Passionate about learning new technologies and solving hard problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and interacting with data professionals and business data SME’s throughout the organization

  • Desire to work in a fast growing environment with strong time management ability

  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Must be self-directed and have excellent initiative and organization skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000-$80,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
