About Ark
Ark Workplace Risk is the market leader in risk, compliance, and safety advisory, powered by QUOODA® technology. We serve property owners, investors, and managers with integrated consulting, SaaS, and managed services. With investment backing and an ambitious growth agenda, Ark is scaling into a platform leader across the UK and beyond.
Our reputation in the mid-market is exceptional – Ark is well-known, trusted, and respected, outstanding testimonials backed in data with an NPS of 61+ (world-class standard). This creates a strong platform for new business development and an immediate edge when engaging prospective clients.
Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive new client acquisition in the mid-market (£25k–£125k annual accounts) and expand Ark’s footprint where our brand reputation and track record already create high trust and credibility. This is a hunter-closer role, converting marketing qualified leads, referrals, and cold opportunities into logos, and scaling those logos into multi-year client programmes with recurring revenue.
The BDM will work closely with the Director of Growth & Customer Success, the Managing Director, and Marketing to run a high-velocity (3-5 logos per month) sales engine aligned with Ark’s go-to-market plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Development
- Identify, target, and qualify opportunities across Ark’s Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) – property owners, investors, managing agents, and occupiers in the mid-market.
- Leverage Ark’s strong reputation, exceptional NPS, and existing market authority to open doors and build trust with decision-makers.

Pipeline & Reporting

- Provide accurate forecasts and insights to Directors and to support investor-grade reporting.
Partnership Building
- Cultivate mid-market C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships to position Ark as a strategic partner, not just a transaction or vendor.
- Support Ark’s brand presence at webinars, roundtables, and industry events to drive recognition and authority.
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work with Marketing to refine campaigns and optimise lead generation.
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure seamless handover, onboarding, and long-term retention.
