This role will support product strategy and category management functions by leveraging data-driven insights to drive decision-making, optimize product portfolios, and enhance category performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics, strategic planning, and market analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and inform go-to-market category strategy and product development
- Conduct sales analysis to evaluate product and sales channel performance, identifying areas for improvement and innovation
- Collaborate with strategy, sales, category & product management to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies to assess their potential impact on product strategy and category management
- Lead ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed to address strategic challenges and opportunities
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 6+ years of experience in analytics or related fields, with a preferred focus in product management or category management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and ability to visualize results and recommendations in PowerPoint.
- Experience with market research methodologies, consumer insights analysis, and sales performance evaluation
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions to business challenges
- Proven track record of driving results through data-driven decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the consumer electronics, CPG or retail industry
- Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques such as predictive modeling and machine learning a plus
- Prior experience with 3rd party data sources such as NPD, IDC, Nielsen, Strategy Analytics or Canalys
