We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team in New York City. You will play a crucial role in our cloud and infrastructure modernization initiatives, working closely with Development, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners. Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
Ensure adherence to Scrum best practices and Agile principles within the team.
Collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps teams on Kafka and AWS/on-prem migration initiatives.
Monitor and report delivery progress using JIRA (or equivalent tools).
Partner with Product Owners to groom and prioritize backlogs aligned with cloud and infrastructure modernization goals.
Remove impediments and roadblocks that hinder the team's progress.
Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies and best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the team and stakeholders.
Track and report on team performance metrics, such as velocity and burndown.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
8-10 years of overall IT experience.
In-depth understanding of DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Octopus).
Experience delivering infrastructure-centric Agile projects (preferably on AWS/on-prem).
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and XP.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using JIRA (or equivalent Agile project management tools).
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
