At Mountain Warehouse we are passionate about the great outdoors and minimising the impacts from our operations. We are looking for a passionate Ethical and Sustainable Assistant to join our team in London. It is an entry level role which would suit a university leaver with an ethical, environmental, sustainable qualification or an admin professional with a passion for delivering positive change.

Key Responsibilities

·       Maintaining supplier ethical compliance via SEDEX.
·       Reviewing factory ethical audits and engaging with suppliers to close non-conformities
·       Collating proof of sustainable claim certificates and mitigating risk.
·       Tracing our high-risk supply chains to tier 5.
·       Providing ethical, sustainable, and greenhouse gas reports to key stakeholders.
·       Collating supplier score cards and assisting with supplier ethical performance meetings.
·       Keeping up to date on industry advances and making recommendations for developments. 
·       Supporting development of sustainable attributes to meet international green claims codes.
·       Supporting to identify opportunities to eliminate, minimise, or recycle packaging and materials.
·       Raising awareness of correct recycling methods to meet recycling targets.
·       Taking responsibility to oversee a greenhouse gas reduction project.

We would like to meet someone who is

·       A passion for all things ethical and sustainable with an inquisitive pro-active nature.
·       Appropriate university degree or at least one year’s experience in an administrative role.
·       Good awareness of ethical and sustainable topics, organisations, and systems.
·       Organised and analytical with excellent attention to detail.
·       Accurate administration and data management.
·       Good communication and influencing skills capable of supporting complex projects.
·       Team player capable of working on their own initiative to meet deadlines.
·       Ability to apply formulas and look-ups in Excel.
