Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 - 8 Years of experience in mainframe programming
- Programming Languages: COBOL, JCL, CICS
- Database Management: Strong knowledge of VSAM and DB2
- COBOL Debugging Tool: Xpeditor
- Version Control: Expertise in Endevor or similar tools
- CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Messaging Queues: Knowledge of IBM MQ
- IBM Mainframe Utilities (IEBGENER, SORT, IDCAMS, etc.)
- File Transmission: NDM, FTP& SFTP
Position Overview
- Developer with experience in design, coding, testing and documentation of new or modified applications developed on the IBM z/OS Mainframe platform.
- Has knowledge and experience in COBOL, JCL,VSAM/DB2 and CICS, along with a deep understanding of batch and online and processing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps concepts and tools such as Jenkins and Git.
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and provide support to applications already in production.

- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical design specifications
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2 and CICS with Mainframe tools and utilities.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Optimize mainframe application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with batch processing systems and scheduling tools like CA-7.
- Update and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in Agile planning and standup meetings
