Yara Fertilizers India Pvt Ltd is a 100% subsidiary of Yara International ASA. Yara has supplied fertilizers as well as fertilizer raw materials to the Indian market for over two decades. Yara India has continuously strengthened its footprint in Western and Southern India by providing Crop nutrition solutions with combination of Premium products and Knowledge through unique Farmer centric approach.
Yara’s philosophy is to connect with thousands of farmers at the grass root level and has a strong commitment to serving the agriculture sector in India, there by improving the livelihood of Indian farmer.To leverage on this and to expand into the northern & eastern geographies of India, Yara acquired Tata Chemicals’ 1.2 MN MT Urea plant in UP, Northern India. With this acquisition Yara India’s scale of operation has grown significantly.

Role & Responsibilities

Engineering & Documentation Management

  • Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings and documents, ensuring updates through Management of Change (MoC) processes.

  • Develop precise engineering drawings in AutoCAD in coordination with site and internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure all engineering documentation complies with national/international standards and internal guidelines.

  • Lead departmental documentation management efforts and implement 5S practices to maintain organized workspaces (digital and physical).

 

Project Support & Coordination

  • Create and manage PRs, Service Orders, and track Purchase Orders (POs) in SAP (MM/PM modules).

  • Monitor material availability, returns, and documentation to support smooth project execution.

  • Provide drawing and documentation support throughout project phases—from planning to commissioning.

  • Support project planning and milestone tracking with inputs on deliverables, revisions, and change logs.

  • Collaborate effectively with site teams, operations, and internal departments to resolve technical and execution challenges.

 

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure adherence to safe work practices.

  • Ensure all assigned work complies with Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements on quality, safety, and environment.

  • Contribute to safety initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement programs.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, engineering standards, and IMS norms to drive excellence.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and drafting tools.

  • Working knowledge of SAP (MM/PM modules).

  • Strong understanding of project life cycle, construction practices, and engineering standards.

  • Familiarity with 5S, Lean documentation, and IMS frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability in site/project execution support.

Education & Experience

  • Diploma (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering): 4–5 years of relevant drafting/project experience in mechanical nature projects.

  • ITI (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical): 8–10 years of relevant drafting/project experience in mechanical nature projects.

  • Industry Requirement: Experience in project execution within a hydrocarbon-based continuous process industry (e.g., Fertilizer, Petrochemical, Refinery) preferred. Hands-on exposure to plant modifications, construction practices, and compliance with process safety and regulatory norms is desirable.

  • Additional Certifications: Mandatory to have AutoCAD 2D & 3D Certification (Autodesk Certified Professional or equivalent). Preferred to have Navisworks Manage/Simulate Certification (Autodesk or authorized provider).
