Industrial Maintenance/Automation Technician SECOND SHIFT Essential Functions/Duties

  • Execute assigned corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Apply and comply with quality policy and objectives.
  • Preparation of LPA’s.
  • Participation in problem-solving (safety, quality, and maintenance).
  • Perform general cleaning of all maintenance areas to maintain and comply with 5S.
  • Modify equipment to support: Safety needs, Quality needs, or Efficiency needs.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed & downtime of each machine.
  • Communication with the maintenance team to ensure proper processes are being followed.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and programming of PLCs.
  • Perform facility-related maintenance in general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical.
  • Involvement in new projects involving modification or installation of new equipment or machines for production.
  • Perform all duties safely and environmentally.
  • Coordinate and follow up on work carried out by suppliers within US5 facilities.
  • Monitoring and use of documents: US5
  • Understand and comply with company EHS policy.
  • Ensure 5s & Respect OPMobility’s Austin facility.
  • Cooperation with Human Resources in dealing with personal matters.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Marginal Function Duties

  • Supporting the launch of ISO 450001 and ISP 50001. 
  • Ensuring compliance to and participation in IATF 16949 and CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance & ISO 14001 certification. 
  • Can stop production, upon notifying the supervisor and Plant Director of quality-related nonconforming matters requiring immediate repair. 
  • Can stop production, upon notifying the supervisor and Plant Director of safety-related nonconforming matters requiring immediate repair.

 

Education & Professional Training

  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Technical Trade School
  • License or equivalent
  • PLC Read and Program
  • Robotic Programming Knowledge
  • Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge with ability to read diagrams and drawings.
  • Experience of working with automation and assembly equipment.
  • Injection Molding
  • Vision Systems
  • Working knowledge H&S requirements in an engineering enviroment.
  • Self-motivated with a desire for self-improvement.
  • Able to work to tight timeframes and continue to perform at a high standard under pressure.
