We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable professional with the ability to manage and monitor multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Must demonstrate strong analytical skills to develop strategies informed by budget assessments, staffing considerations, and client satisfaction metrics, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement. A collaborative team player who can effectively lead others through process and technology transitions. Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining trusting relationships with program stakeholders, contributors, and committee members
This is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Director of Programs & Committees at SEMI Milpitas Office.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage committees, ensuring programs are aligned with committee feedback and interest of SEMI Members regarding topics and speakers
- Schedule and coordinate regular committee meetings as needed, document and distribute meeting minutes in a timely and organized manner
- Provide strategic input and support in the planning and execution of programs and regional events.
- Coordinate with multiple speakers to manage deliverables, deadlines and collection of speaker presentations.
- Attend regional events to lead, oversee, and support overall event coordination
- Collaborate with the internal SEMI teams to develop and implement comprehensive project plans for each event, covering promotion, sponsorship and event operations
- Manage the development and tracking of event budgets and timeline to ensure efficient, cost-effective execution
- Supports the Director in preparing revenue and expense forecasts for programs and events

- Introduced emerging technology and business themes into SEMI programs, while effectively highlighting SEMI’s initiatives
- Enhanced the value of SEMI membership by delivering reputable, engaging, and impactful programs and events
- Cultivated long-term relationships with industry professionals who contribute to and benefit from ongoing and future programs and committees
- Achieved strong program survey results, reflecting high levels of attendee satisfaction, relevance, and overall event quality
- Consistently delivered financially successful programs by meeting or exceeding revenue targets and managing expenses within budget

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
With limited supervision, responsibilities will include developing and managing a variety of high-level programs and regional events
- Manage multiple volunteer committees composed of SEMI members who contribute to program development
- Recruit and manage speakers, including coordinating deliverables and communications
- Collaborate closely with internal teams on marketing, promotion, sponsorship, and logistics
- Develop and manage forecasts and budgets for multiple events
FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
- B.S./B.A. or advanced degree in Business Administration or equivalent in training and/or experience
- Minimum of 8 year’s related experience, 2 of which must have been in coordination of similar committees and programs for SEMI or for another trade organization
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry and essential terms
- Proficiency in computer and internet software skills such as MS Office, etc.
