Who We Serve
North Bay Regional Center provides advocacy, services, support, and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. We partner with community-based organizations and agencies to empower our clients to thrive and live as independently as possible within the geographically, culturally, and ethnically diverse communities we serve.
North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. North Bay Regional Center serves over 12,000 people living within the geographic boundaries of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties.
NATURE OF WORK:
The Fiscal Assistant is responsible for review and entry of Purchase of Services (POS) for client authorizations. You will review and monitor vendor billings for authorized services; prepare and monitor the appropriate use of authorizations; maintain contact with vendors and Service Coordinators regarding purchases of service, authorizations, and payment status. You will maintain supporting documentation and correspondence for State & Federal audits; ensure all NBRC vendors submit required billings and timesheets for payment and invoice payments.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Two years’ experience in medical claims processing, basic accounting, or fiscal records review, or three years of general clerical experience.
Minimum qualifications may be waived depending on the agency’s need for specialized skills (such as language abilities).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to provide personal automobile transportation, or access to another form of reliable transportation, during and after working hours. If driving in this position, provide minimum automobile liability insurance as required by California Law.
A note regarding NBRC’s expectations regarding remote, hybrid, and home-based work…
All employment at NBRC requires face-to-face, in-person interactions with NBRC clients, family members, community, and co-workers. Candidates for employment must live within commute distance to their preferred NBRC office, as well as the geographical location of their assigned clients. While 100% remote work is not available to NBRC employees, a hybrid work arrangement with a blend of in-office and home-based work may be available for new employees after successfully demonstrating achievement of performance expectations following at least 3 months of in-office work.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general office methods, practices, and procedures; principles and practices of financial record keeping; basic principles of accounting; medical claims processing; ability to type at least 45 WPM; ability to operate calculators and adding machines; ability to make calculations rapidly and accurately.

- For those speaking a language other than English – $150 per month

Salary Range
$48,888 – $53,904 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
