Scope of Role
The Second Shift Production Supervisor leads the production activities in the Tortilla Room, ensuring the highest quality product output, production efficiency, and safety compliance during the second shift. This role directs and supports team members, manages production schedules, and maintains Red’s standards for exceptional food and operations.
Requirements
Principal Accountabilities
- Supervise second shift tortilla production processes to meet quality, safety, and production targets.
- Lead and develop production associates while maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMPs) and company policies.
- Monitor workflow and equipment to optimize production without compromising quality.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify tortillas meet specifications and standards.
- Maintain production records and report shift performance metrics
- Facilitate shift communication and handoffs to ensure operational continuity.
- Promote continuous improvement for product quality, efficiency, and team engagement.
- Enforce sanitation and safety protocols to maintain a clean, secure production area.

Key Functional Skills/Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn new software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret production and quality data.
- Experience in food production supervision, especially in natural or specialty foods, is a plus.
- Independent judgment to ensure information accuracy and reliability.
- Report Red’s key performance indicators for the production area to internal stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Collaborate with Red’s production site management team to jointly achieve company objectives.
- Complete standard daily work in accordance with external regulations and internal governance, insuring a safe workplace and high-quality standards for Red’s products.
- Execute Shift Production Room Scheduled Targets.
- 3-5+ years of experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- 2+ years of experience managing and leading a team.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Above average mechanical aptitude
