RETTEW is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to provide expert guidance to our clients across construction, industrial, and energy markets. This senior-level role is ideal for a safety professional with deep technical knowledge who thrives in the field and enjoys building strong client relationships.

Our consultants partner with clients to manage occupational safety programs, conduct audits, and lead training for field crews. The work is hands-on in the field (about 75% on construction and industrial sites), not focused on public health administration or law enforcement.
What You’ll Do
As a Health & Safety Consultant, you’ll lead client safety programs, manage projects, and provide expert guidance on occupational safety. You’ll work closely with clients in the field, help shape safe work practices, and mentor less experienced staff.
Work Environment: Hybrid
Responsibilities
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Advise clients on hazard controls and program improvements.
- Deliver training sessions and mentor technicians.
- Write detailed reports and present results to clients.
- Build lasting client relationships and support business development.
- Travel regularly to job sites (about 75% of the role).
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of experience managing or advising on occupational safety programs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- CSP, ASP, CHST, or similar safety certifications.
- Consulting experience in AEC, utilities, or energy markets.
