REPORTS TO: Credit Officer
The credit department is looking for an individual to analyze the creditworthiness and credit risk of commercial borrowers, including a review of financial statements and cash flow analysis.
Who We Want:
Analytical Thinker –
- Analyze credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to identify the degree of risk involved in lending money or extending credit
- Ability to use technology and software to keep customer loan files, evaluate customer’s financial status, and produce financial ratios
- Prepare periodic reviews on existing loan relationships
Industry Expert –
- Responsible for determining risk ratings and developing terms of repayment for customers based on earnings, data, payment history, and purchase activity
- Strong knowledge of banking, credit processes, and loan compliance
- Ability to analyze and assess a borrower’s creditworthiness

- Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills
- Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain communication with the loan production staff during underwriting and the approval process
What You'll Do:
- Ability to determine the expected profitability of loans by analyzing financial data including quality of management, income growth, and market shares
- Responsible for composing reports detailing the degree of risk involved in the loan or credit request and recommends approval or denial based on results
- Prepare credit packages to be presented for approval
- Complete ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis and create projections
- Review external appraisals as well as prepare evaluations for collateral
- Accompany loan officers on client visits
- Represent the Bank at various civic and community functions

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- OR relevant banking experience
- Excellent customer service skills for both external and internal customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and recommend solutions
