Southern Champion Tray is seeking a motivated accounting intern to join our team. This role will primarily support the Accounts Payable (AP) team, assisting with invoice processing, payment verification, and vendor reconciliations. Additionally, the intern will gain exposure to general ledger (GL) accounting and assist with month-end close activities, providing a well-rounded experience in corporate accounting.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Assist in processing vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

 Support vendor account reconciliations and assist in resolving outstanding issues.

 Help maintain AP records and ensure proper documentation.

 Assist in GL reconciliations.

 Help analyze variances in expense accounts and prepare supporting schedules.

 Assist in audit support by organizing and retrieving financial records.

 Depending on skills, abilities, and interests, may be assigned to special projects such as research or data analysis

Qualifications & Skills:

 Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

 Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

 Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
