About the Department
Natural Resources manages Larimer County's great outdoor places, including open spaces and magnificent water-based recreation areas, and fosters responsible land stewardship through weed management and healthy forest practices.
Our mission is to establish, protect, and manage significant regional parks and open lands providing quality outdoor recreational opportunities and stewardship of natural resource values. We are committed to fostering a sense of community and appreciation for the natural and agricultural heritage of Larimer County for present and future generations.
This temporary position is expected to last up to 11 months for part-time roles (20-29 hours per week) and up to 6 months for full-time roles. The schedule may include weekends.

Position Duties
- Performing general upkeep and cleaning of campgrounds and park facilities.
- Conducting landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, watering, pruning, and weed control.
- Operating light equipment such as mowers and chainsaws; performing preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, and hand tools.
- Providing information to park users about recreational opportunities and park regulations.
- Completing other duties as needed to support park operations and ensure job performance.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County employees, representatives of other agencies and organizations, and community members.
- Commitment to regular, predictable attendance.

- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including traversing rough terrain over long distances.
- Strength to push, pull, and lift heavy objects as required.
- Friendly and professional demeanor to greet a diverse range of park visitors in a welcoming and helpful manner.
- Effective communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License required.
