WSU Tech is seeking a Creative Marketing Specialist to join our Open Education division. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in creativity, innovation, and strategic communication. You’ll be responsible for driving social media campaigns, creating compelling designs, planning events, and supporting public relations efforts that highlight the impact of WSU Tech’s Open Education programs.
Open Education (non-credit) training programs are designed around skill attainment to help learners accelerate career advancement, learn something new, and satisfy professional needs.
Compensation: $58,926.40
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Direct and manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities.
- Assist with the maintenance of the Open Education website.
- Expand outreach efforts through community and influencer engagement.
- Design and manage promotional materials, including social media graphics and print resources.
- Analyze key marketing metrics and adjust strategies to optimize outcomes.
- Draft and distribute press releases and media communications.
- Collaborate with the WSU Tech Marketing and Strategic Communication teams to ensure consistent branding.
Requirements
Education:
- Associate degree in business, digital marketing, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
Preferred Qualification:
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Experience with career and technical education or workforce training/development is a plus.
- Strong graphic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite proficiency required).
- Excellent communication, project management, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and think creatively.
Additional Details
- This role requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend work.
- Independent travel between campuses and community locations may be required.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance are necessary if using a personal vehicle for work.
