Position Summary:

As a Material Handler, you will sort outlet donations into specific categories for final sale.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure an adequate amount of material is on the sorting table for sorters.
- Moves materials from one location to another.
- Pulls laundry carts onto the lift.
- Accepts & sorts donations
- Manually removes material from the cart onto the sorting table.
- Separates and loosens material for sorters.
- Ensure an adequate and constant level of material on the sorting table.
- You must always wear company-approved personal protective equipment while working.
- Reviews and is familiar with Company safety policies, programs, and procedures. Adheres to all safety rules, regulations, and safety codes, and attends safety training sessions and safety meetings.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Cleans work area by sweeping and removing all trash.
- Other duties as assigned
Schedule:
- Four 10 hours shift (9am-7pm)
- Weekends are required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Climbing, balancing, talking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, seeing and depth perception. Lifting/Carrying: Heavy Work: Lifting 50 lbs. maximum, one-man lift, and 100 lbs. maximum, two-man lift, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Pushing/Pulling: Very Heavy Work pushing laundry carts 100lb or more on with frequency.
