We are seeking a Transportation and Logistics Leader, that will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive transportation and logistics strategy to support Beehive Industries’ multi-site operations. This role will oversee the end-to-end movement of materials, components, and finished goods between suppliers, manufacturing sites, and customers.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Strategy Development & Implementation

· Design and execute a multi-site transportation and logistics strategy that aligns with operational, production, and customer delivery goals.

· Assess current processes, identify gaps, and establish standardized procedures for inbound and outbound logistics.

· Select and manage transportation modes (LTL, FTL, air freight, courier, etc.) to balance cost, speed, and reliability.

· Develop contingency and risk management plans for supply disruptions.

2. Carrier & Vendor Management

· Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with freight carriers, and partners.

· Maintain strong relationships with service providers and ensure performance to agreed service levels.

· Manage freight spend, contracts, and rate to ensure competitive pricing.

3. Operations & Process Improvement

· Establish standard work for shipping and receiving activities at each site.

· Implement logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, transit times, freight cost per unit, etc.) and report results to leadership.

· Oversee transportation scheduling, load planning, and routing.

· Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce costs, shorten lead times, and improve delivery reliability.

4. Compliance & Documentation

· Ensure compliance with all DOT, ITAR, EAR, and other applicable regulations for shipping aerospace components.

· Oversee creation and maintenance of accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export documentation.

· Implement safety and security protocols for transportation and material handling.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with Procurement, Operations, and Program teams to align logistics plans with build schedules and customer commitments.

· Collaborate with suppliers to improve inbound delivery reliability and reduce expedited freight.

· Partner with site operations to streamline receiving, inspection, and storage processes.

6. Technology & Systems

· Evaluate and implement logistics management systems or integrate with ERP/MES for shipment tracking and reporting.

· Utilize data analytics to forecast transportation needs and identify cost-savings.


Required Qualifications:


· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field.

· Minimum 7–10 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management, with increasing levels of responsibility.

· Demonstrated success managing multi-site logistics operations and carrier/vendor relationships.

· Strong knowledge of domestic transportation modes.

· Experience with regulatory compliance including DOT, ITAR, EAR, and hazardous materials shipping.

· Proficiency with ERP/MES systems and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).


Preferred Qualifications:


· Master’s degree (MBA, Supply Chain, or Operations Management).

· Experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries with knowledge of quality/regulatory frameworks (AS9100, ISO 9001).

· Hands-on experience implementing a new TMS or logistics digitalization initiative.

· Familiarity with additive manufacturing supply chains or high-tech manufacturing logistics.

· Proven success in cost-reduction initiatives and building freight consolidation or supplier-direct programs.


The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $99,000-$160,565 base salary.  Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
