Position Summary
The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting financial planning and analysis (FP&A) across restaurant operations and corporate functions. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Marketing, and Supply Chain—to provide actionable insights, enhance profitability, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain complex financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Partner with restaurant operations to review unit-level P&Ls, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Conduct detailed variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) and present insights to executive leadership.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews with senior stakeholders.
Analyze labor, food, and operational costs, providing recommendations to improve margins and overall performance.
Provide financial support for new restaurant openings (NROs), including pro forma modeling and ROI analysis.
Contribute to strategic initiatives such as menu pricing strategies, promotional performance evaluations, and market expansion assessments.
Prepare clear, impactful presentations and dashboards for senior management.
Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
Leverage data visualization and business intelligence tools to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of financial analysis experience; prior experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail sectors strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
Solid understanding of restaurant-specific financial metrics (labor cost, COGS, AUV).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-financial stakeholders.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
