Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Specialist at Jorgensen Farms

Summary:

Jorgensen Farms is made up of multiple divisions, creating a unique agritourism environment that blends organic farming with special events. The Accounts Receivable (AR)/Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist will support all areas of the business to assist division heads and managers in processing Accounts Receivable invoices, Accounts Payable Invoices, and processing all cash transactions for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures all cash transactions, accounts receivable invoicing, and accounts payable invoicing are entered correctly and accurately
• Collect, organize, and enter receipts, expenses, and reports as needed
• Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and expenditures.
• Maintains month-end and quarter-end AR, AP, and cash closing and reconciliations
• Responsible for company credit card reconciliation and payments
• Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records related to AR, AP, and Cash
• Maintain accurate and organized filing systems
• Partner with third-party CPA on various accounting tasks and projects such as sales tax, payroll tax
• Implements financial controls, ensuring accurate control and accounting of assets and accounts
• Assist the CEO, Controller, or Accounting Manager with other business-related tasks when needed
• Whatever it takes to create a comfortable, welcoming, and supportive environment for all staff and guests

Requirements

• Ability to collect, organize, and enter information, receipts, expenses, and reports
• Skill in balancing multiple tasks and setting priorities

• Integrity, ethical and moral behavior regarding operations, client, and company confidentiality
• 3+ years of bookkeeping/accountant experience required, including experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable
• A high school degree is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Experience with QuickBooks Online software
• Experience with accrual accounting methods
• Experience in working with multiple divisions (referring to classes in QuickBooks) of a company is preferred

Compensation:

• Pay is commensurate with experience
