Full Time Assistant Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach / Aquatics Director

 General Duties and Responsibilities:

Coaching:

The assistant coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all phases of the program including but not limited to practice and game preparation, team management, recruiting, fundraising, community service and any additional duties as assigned by the head coach and/or athletic director.

 Pool Management: 

Responsible for the day to day operations of the pool to make sure it is kept clean, rules & regulations followed, and proper lifeguard scheduling / coverage during the hours of operation. Need to be able to assist with outside groups who use the facility

Special Requirements: (need to have or ability to get within 3 months)

  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
    1. Certification in first aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer
  • Certified Pool Operation (CPO) or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO)

 Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required with previous collegiate playing and/or coaching experience strongly preferred. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and should have a working knowledge of various computer programs. This position will require the candidate to communicate within the University community as well those outside that community.
