In this role you will:
● Assemble and disassemble various types of electrical material or equipment in high places, below ground level, at ground level, or within confined spaces, oftentimes while energized
● Climb ladders, poles, steel structures, in and out of ditches, on and off equipment, oftentimes near high voltage lines
● Understand electric high voltage clearances to perform work safety and follow all safety procedures in establishing appropriate working clearance, hot work ● Operates various equipment such as a digger derrick, aerial lift device, trencher, backhoe, crane, etc. as well as loads and unloads trucks and trailers for transporting electrical equipment
● Drive single or combination vehicles 26,001 or more pounds. Inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects to assure safe and proper operation
● Complete requisition forms for materials and tools and write out maintenance tickets for equipment repair

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be capable of performing work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, both day and night, and in challenging environments such as below ground, above ground, at heights, and within confined spaces near energized electrical equipment. They will possess knowledge of high voltage electrical standards, safety procedures, clearance protocols, and relevant working regulations. A valid CDL Class A driver's license is required, as is the ability to wear fire-retardant clothing and protective gear. The candidate must be willing and able to acquire additional safety training, including CPR, First Aid, asbestos handling, and other certifications as needed. Strong mechanical skills are essential for constructing and maintaining various electrical apparatus. This position requires a level of knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years of high school, along with successful completion of an approved four-year Lineman Apprenticeship or an equivalent education program.
