VISALIA Gopfert RDC Utility 3rd Shift at Pacific Southwest Container

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB: The Utility Helper will work with the machine operator to set-up and run. During the set-up the Utility Helper will be responsible for a portion of the set-up as directed by the operator. He/she will also be responsible for but not limited to activities such as stacking waste sheets, monitoring pallet inserter performance, dressing finished loads, retrieving die boards, print plates, ink etc. He/she will also be responsible for taking part in clean up and preventative maintenance. Performance standards of this job include but are not limited to being able to safely and conformingly assist operation at or above 80% of rated machine speed and perform set-ups in less than 9 minutes.

SPECIAL EDUCATION SKILLS, TRAINING OR QUALIFICATIONS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS JOB: The successful bidder must be able to contribute to the overall performance of the machine levels reflected in performance guarantee. He/she must be able to read a tape measure and perform basic computer entries. He/she must be able to anticipate upcoming needs to insure uninterrupted production and set-ups. He/she must be capable of becoming proficient in flexography and die cutting skills.  Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
