Overview:

Summary Statement:

 

The Hospitality Accounting Representative is responsible for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting for revenue departments throughout the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Resorts World policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

Primary Job Duties- Includes but, is not limited to:

  • Conducts non-gaming revenue audit steps, which include, but are not limited to all Food & Beverage outlets, Hotel, Retail, Spa, Parking and any other non-gaming related activities
  • Conducts daily audit steps related to Credit Cards, Comps, Guest Ledger and Cash Over/Shorts.
  • Assist the department with Revenue Center Setup, Comp Code Maintenance, Fraud Analysis and Comp Reporting
  • Assists with preparing tax returns and ad hoc analysis and reports.
  • Retains accurate records and files pertaining to work performed by self and other members of the team.
  • Reconciles revenue reports to source documents; distributes and files financial documents and reports.
  • Prepares routine journal entries; reconciles entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports.
  • Generate summary reports and complete daily audits. Keys data and prepares batches for processing which involves sorting, alphabetizing, and footing to verify counts and totals.
  • Sorts documents; codes, logs, and reviews for accuracy; verifies invoices for payment.
  • Communicate problems or discrepancies to management in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Account for all documents and practices adhere to Company Operations accounting policies and remain standard across property.
  • Answers telephones, opens and logs mail, and assists in other clerical functions.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize based on urgency.
  • Adapts quickly and effectively to procedural changes; assists with other special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Polished appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred

  • At least six months of accounting experience in a similar or related field.
  • Experience with hotel, POS, other non-gaming, and/or financial systems.
  • Working knowledge of Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) regulations
  • Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
